Egg Fried Rice


           Have some leftover cooked rice and want to prepare something out of it? Then do try my version of this simple and easy Egg Fried Rice. Enjoy as it is or with some side dish or fryums. They can also be packed as a lunch box meal too. 

          So go ahead and prepare this delicious one-pot wonder for a satisfying comfort food. This is a very quick recipe and few roasted cashews / peanuts can also be added to it for some slight crunch. Check out the step by step pictorial recipe to prepare this amazing one-pot meal.

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1tbsp. butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3-4 garlic, sliced
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • salt to taste
  • pinch of pepper powder
  • 1 tsp. chili sauce
  • 1 tsp. tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. peri peri sauce
  • 1 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped








          Heat oil in a pan and add the onion, ginger, garlic and green chilies. Stir fry till light brown.

          Add the eggs and sauté till the eggs are well scrambled. 

         Then add the rice, pepper powder, salt and all the sauces. Mix everything well and sauté for 2 minutes more. 

         When done, add the coriander leaves and serve as it is or with any side dish.




                    Heat oil and butter in a pan.



                   Add the onion, ginger, garlic and green chilies.



                      Stir fry till light brown.



                       Add the eggs.



                       Sauté till the eggs are well scrambled. 



Then add the rice, pepper powder, salt & all the sauces. Mix everything well & sauté for 2 minutes more. 



                 When done, add the coriander leaves.



                    Serve as it is or with any side dish.
