Here is a delicious appetizer made with fresh chili pepper, a mouth watering evening treat to go with your tea. These chilies are mildly spiced and tastes awesome with sauce or green chutney. - 7-8 fresh chili peppers, chopped
- 1 cup besan (gram flour)
- 2 tbsp. maida (plain flour)
- 2 tbsp. oil
- salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp. pepper powder
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves, chopped
- 3 tbsp. coriander stalks, chopped
- 1 tsp. kalonji (nigella seeds)
- oil to deep fry
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients (except oil to deep fry)and make a thick batter with required quantity of water.
Heat oil in a pan and drop spoonfuls of the batter and deep fry to golden brown colour. Drain on a kitchen towel and serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
