It is commonly found in many North Indian restaurants and goes very well with drinks especially. They can also be relished and enjoyed as any tea time snack. Finely chopped assorted bell peppers and cucumber too can be added for a more filling and satisfying experience.

  • 3-4 papadams
  • 2 onions, chopped finely
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped finely
  • 2 green chilies, chopped finely
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • red chili powder as required
  • chaat masala powder as required
  • 3-4 tbsp. bhujia / sev

In a bowl, mix together onions, tomatoes, green chilies and coriander leaves. Roast the papads on a tawa / griddle till done. Keep aside.

On each papad, spread evenly the onion mix. Then sprinkle the red chili powder and the chaat masala.

Lastly add the bhujia. Serve immediately as it tends to become soggy. Goes very well as a starter.
