Chicken fry is an universal favourite with everyone. So try out these yummy Chicken Fry with some mint flavour. They are perfect as appetizers / snacks and relish them with some hung yoghurt dip with kasundi / mustard paste. So check out the step by step pictorial recipe to prepare this delicacy.
- 10-12 chicken pieces
- handful of coriander & mint leaves
- 1-2 green chilies
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp. roasted cumin powder
- 1 tsp. red chili flakes
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp. roasted chickpea flour / besan (gram flour)
- 2 tbsp. rice flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp. lime juice
- oil to deep fry
Make a paste with coriander leaves, mint leaves, garlic, green chilies and a pinch of salt. Rub this paste over the chicken, followed by rest of the ingredients (except oil).
Add water if required. Set aside for 5-10 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and drop these chicken pieces gently, few at a time.
Fry till light golden in colour on all sides on a low flame. Drain on a tissue paper and serve them hot with spiced yoghurt.
Spiced Yoghurt
- 1 cup hung yoghurt
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp. kasundi / mustard paste
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- 1/2 tsp. red chili flakes
- 1 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients and serve with the fried chicken.
Make a paste of coriander leaves, mint leaves, garlic, green chilies & a
