Soya Fingers



           Soya in any form is absolutely the best option. So learn to make these healthy and yummy soya granules snack in an easy step by step pictorial recipe. Very easy and simple to make, they can be dished out very fast. 

          Besides, snacks, they can also be relished as an appetizer with your favourite chutney or dip. It is apt for any special occasion or just for an informal meet at home for your vegetarian friends and family.








  • 1/2 cup soya granules
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. red chili powder
  • 1 tsp. coriander-cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper powder
  • 1-2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. ginger-garlic, grated
  • 2-3 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup rice flour for dusting 
  • 2-3 tbsp. plain flour + pinch of salt for the batter
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs for coating
  • oil to deep fry








          Soak the soya granules in hot water for 10 minutes. Then drain and squeeze out the water. Mix with onion, ginger, garlic, chilies, coriander leaves and all the dry spices.

          Give a long shape to it and dust with some rice flour. Refrigerate for some time. Make a batter with the plain flour and a pinch of salt. 

          Dip them into the plain flour batter. Roll them in the breadcrumbs and deep fry them in hot oil till golden in colour and crisp. 

          Drain on a kitchen towel and transfer to a serving dish. Serve as a tea-time snack or as appetizers with some homemade chutney / dip or tomato ketchup.

                      Transfer to a plate & deep fry in hot oil till golden in colour & crisp.

                    snack or as appetizers with homemade chutney / dip or tomato ketchup.
