Oats Coriander Leaves Kadhi


          Need some side dish that goes well with any form of rice or Indian bread and that which is healthy at the same time? Then try this super easy and yummy kadhi made with roasted oats and coriander leaves. A new variation to any kadhi and I'm sure it will be a total hit at the dining table. So go ahead and give it a try and introduce something nutritious to your family and loved ones. 








  • 2-3 tbsp. oats, dry roasted
  • 2 cups coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 3-4 cups water
  • 1" ginger
  • 2 green chilies
  • salt to taste
  • pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp. coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp. asafoetida
  • 1 tsp. roasted oats 
  • pinch of red chili flakes (opt)





           Blend together oats, coriander leaves, yoghurt, ginger, green chilies, water and all the dry spices.

          Heat oil in a pan and temper with cumin seeds and asafoetida. Sauté for a few seconds. Now pour the blended mix and simmer on a low flame.

           Keep stirring at intervals till it gets thick to a desired consistency. Switch off the flame and transfer to a serving bowl. 

           Garnish with roasted oats and chili flakes (opt). Serve with any form of rice or Indian bread.
