Chilli Pepper Pakora / Fritters


          Here is a delicious appetizer made with fresh chili pepper, a mouth watering evening treat to go with your tea. These chilies are mildly spiced and tastes awesome with sauce or green chutney. Another great way of using any leftover pakoras, is to make kadhi pakora out of it for your dinner or pakora chaat. So Check the step by step pictorial recipe to prepare it.





  • 7-8 fresh chili peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 2 tbsp. maida (plain flour)
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves, chopped
  • 3 tbsp. coriander stalks, chopped
  • 1 tsp. kalonji (nigella seeds)
  • oil to deep fry







          In a bowl, combine all the ingredients (except oil to deep fry)and make a thick batter with required quantity of water.

          Heat oil in a pan and drop spoonfuls of the batter and deep fry to golden brown colour. Drain on a kitchen towel and serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.
