Spicy Fried Peanut Masala


          This is another favorite appetizer during any party or get together. These crispy and spicy snacks are great munchies anytime of the day. They can simply be had on its own or along with some chopped onion, green chilies, tomatoes and coriander leaves mixed with it as a chaat. It can be made in large quantities and stored in air tight containers for any rainy day. It can also be relished as a tea time snack or with cocktails / mocktails.





  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp. amchur (dry mango powder)
  • oil to deep fry






          In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients, except oil with the help of required quantity of water till all the peanuts are well coated with the masala.

          Heat oil in a pan and fry in batches till golden brown in colour. Drain on a paper napkin. When cool, store in an airtight container. Serve as a tea time snack or as an appetizer.
