Bean Sprouts Pakora (Fried Fritters)

       
           Bean sprouts are healthy, nutritious and have a crunch in every bite. They are generally used in salads and eaten raw. So why not in the form of fried pakoras (fritters)? So here are crispy, besan (gram flour) coated pakoras, which are perfect for an evening tea time snack. Make it spicy and tangy according to individual preference and relish this delicious appetizer along with some home made chutney or ketchup.








  • 1 cup bean sprouts, chopped to 1/4 inch
  • 1 tbsp. rice flour
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp. ginger, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/ 2 cup besan (gram flour)
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. red chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp. amchur (mango powder)
  • oil to deep fry








         In a bowl combine together all the ingredients, except oil. With the help of some water, make a semi thick batter.

          Heat oil in a pan and drop spoonful of it and deep fry them to golden colour. Drain on a paper napkin and serve them hot as a tea time snack.
